FedEx and UPS shipping rates

For FedEx, you only need your FedEx account number — ShipQuote handles the API registration through a secure verification process. For UPS, you'll need to create a free developer app at developer.ups.com to get your API credentials. Both carriers provide your account-specific negotiated rates.

ShipQuote works with any HubSpot plan that supports quotes and custom properties, including Sales Hub Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. Depending on recent HubSpot updates, a Commerce Hub plan may also be required to access the full quoting functionality.

When you add the ShipQuote line item to a quote, we read the product dimensions and weights, call your carrier's API in real time, and write the rate back to the line item price. The entire process takes under 5 seconds.

ShipQuote supports domestic shipments within the US and Canada, as well as cross-border shipments between the two countries.

Each line item on a quote that has weight or dimension data counts as one shipping rate request per unit. For example, if a line item has a quantity of 3, that counts as 3 requests — each unit is sent to the carrier as its own package for accurate per-package pricing. A quote with 4 products where one is a service (no weight) counts as 3 requests. Products without shipping data (services, digital goods, etc.) are skipped automatically and don't use any credits.

On the Starter and Pro plans, extra requests are billed at a per-request overage rate ($0.40 and $0.30 respectively). On the Free plan, requests stop once you reach 10 for the month.
